Yirra Yaakin is seeking an exceptional experienced Senior Producer

The Senior Producer is a key staff member within the Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company team. Working under the direction of the Artistic Director, and in consultation with the General Manager, the Senior Producer will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of artistic programs, events and touring opportunities produced by Yirra Yaakin. You will lead a small team of emerging or associate producers and represent Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company within the broader industry across WA, Australia and Internationally, where appropriate, and have at least 3 years experience in a similar role.

The main responsibilities of the role include the planning, management and implementation of all Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company produced artistic programs, events and tours, ensuring that all those activities maintain a high level of professionalism and artistic standard. You will assist the Artistic Director in the preparation of the annual schedule of activities and work with the General Manager in ensuring all projects operate within approved budget parameters. You will also provide assistance in the preparation of applications for funding from various sources, as appropriate. Because of your experience, you will also mentor and supervise new or emerging producers and have the skills to communicate, negotiate and develop relationships with a broad range of people, both internal and external to the organisation, in a professional, ethical and respectful manner.
