Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company, WA’s only Aboriginal Theatre Company, are seeking performers to audition for our 2023 Season shows.

We are casting a range of characters, both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal, of any gender identity, with stage age ranges from 18 to 80. Please note that we encourage actors from all backgrounds and heritage to audition for non-Aboriginal roles.

Performer requirements:

Auditionees should prepare a performance of their choice showcasing their skills and passions i.e., a monologue, music or dance (or all 3) for a maximum duration of 5 minutes. Participants may also be expected to read text and/or work as a team as part of the audition.

If you are successful in being offered a role, you must be based in Perth, Western Australia for the duration of the rehearsal and production period. You will also be required to provide Yirra Yaakin with a Police Clearance and a Working with Children’s Check.

Auditions will be held on Monday, November 28 and Tuesday, November 29 2022, between 10am and 5pm at Subiaco Arts Centre.
