Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company is seeking three Indigenous actors (experience in acting for theatre is preferred but not essential)for our children’s production, Bilya Kaatijin by Zac James, which will tour to primary schools throughout Perth and regional WA between May and July 2022.

Successful auditionees will be expected to play a variety of parts, including that of a narrator and several animals local to Noongar Boodjar. Good physicality and ability to engage positively with children is required.

Must be based in Perth, Western Australia. Must be COVID-19 double vaccinated and able to provide a Certificate of Vaccination. Will be required to obtain a Working with Children’s Check and Police Clearance if you do not have them already.

Auditions will be held on Monday 28 February, 2022, between 10am and 4pm at the Subiaco Arts Centre, Subiaco.

Rehearsals commence on Thursday 7 April 2022. The season will run from 2 May 2022 to 16 July 2022.
