Yirra Yaarnz Writers' Group
Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company is committed to sharing stories with our community, created by our community, through theatre.
Yirra Yaarnz Writers’ Group is a supportive environment in which local, emerging, new and established Aboriginal playwrights are provided with dramaturgy and training to learn and develop their script-writing skills.
The aim of this program is for Yirra Yaakin to produce high quality works through a vigorous selection process and create pathways for our writers to ultimately have their works presented on stage.
Dates
Yirra Yaarnz Writers’ Group workshop sessions will be held at the following dates and times.
- Wednesday 13 March to Saturday 20 April 2024
6 – 8pm each Wednesday and 10am – 12pm each Saturday (6 weeks of engagement) - Saturday 4 May 2024 | Online
- Saturday 18 May 2024 | 10am – 1pm
