Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company is committed to providing a range of accessibility services to ensure everyone can enjoy live theatre. These services are included in the price of your ticket and can be booked online, over the phone on (08) 6212 9292 or in person at Subiaco Arts Centre box office. You can access wheelchair seating and companion card tickets via the accessibility booking button located at the top of the webpage, when selecting your seats.

AUSLAN INTERPRETED PERFORMANCES

Yirra Yaakin provides Auslan interpreters for selected shows. We can provide specific details on recommended seating for viewing the interpreters.

WHEELCHAIR AND MOBILITY ACCESS

Wheelchair seating is available for all our performances. Wheelchair access to The Studio and Main Auditorium is via the ramp on the Bagot Road side of the building, and via the lift from the ground floor.

COMPANION CARD TICKETS

For patrons who require the assistance of a companion or carer, a second ticket is issued at no cost to the Companion Card holder.

CLOSED CAPTIONING

For patrons who are hearing impaired, captioning provides an accurate text display of a performance. Closed Captioning is available through individual devices provided by the venue or via the Go Theatrical app on personal smart devices and will be available for the co-production of Jacky.

AUDIO DESCRIPTION

Yirra Yaakin provides Audio Description for select performances. Audio Description captures the visual elements of theatre performances by providing live verbal descriptions via a personal headset.

TACTILE TOURS

Pre-show tactile tours allow blind or low vision patrons and their companions to explore the set, props and costumes. These are available for certain performances.
