Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company is committed to sharing stories with our community, created by our community, through theatre.
Our Metro Writers’ Group is a supportive environment in which local, emerging Aboriginal playwrights are provided with dramaturgy and training to learn and develop their script-writing skills.
The aim of this program is for Yirra Yaakin to produce high quality works through a vigorous selection process and create pathways for our writers to ultimately have their works presented on stage.
Dates
Our Metro Writers’ Group workshop sessions will be held at the following dates and times.
- Saturday 5 March to Saturday 9 April 2022
10am-12pm each Saturday (6 weeks of engagement) - Saturday 21 May 2022
10am-3pm - Saturday 11 June 2022
10am-3pm
Venue
All workshops will take place virtually, over Zoom.
