Yirra Yaakin brings you Yirra Yaarnz: two days of play readings from emerging West Australian Aboriginal playwrights. Its focus is on storytelling, new works, new writers and new voices.

Come along to hear readings of selected works by the Yirra Yaarnz Writers’ Group, an intensive playwriting program that guides emerging writers to turn ideas into scripts. Mentored by award-winning playwrights Polly Low and Hellie Turner, this presentation showcases the importance of storytelling as it relates to Aboriginal culture.

Yirra Yaarnz Writers’ Group is proudly supported by Woodside Energy, Wesfarmers Arts, Healthway, WA Museum Boola Bardip and Lavan.
