What's Involved

What's Involved

In recognition of the demand for more Aboriginal arts workers across Australia, the Behind the Scenes Workshops have been developed to expose young people to the backstage and behind the scenes roles of theatre making.

The workshops aim to build the interest of and encourage future Aboriginal arts workers by providing participants with an introduction and basic skills of technical art forms necessary to create theatre (and transferable to all art forms).

Over 5 workshops, participants will be introduced to key technical roles of theatre making including set design, lighting design, sound design and set construction. At the completion of the workshops, participants will have a better understanding of technical roles in theatre and be able to produce a basic performative outcome.
