Ngalaka Daa Audition Notice

Kaya deadly yoks and mamman!

Are you between 13 and 17 years of age? Are you a performer? Are you interested in learning Noongar language? Are you generally a deadly person? If you are, the Ngalaka Daa crew is looking for you!

The Ngalaka Daa Ensemble is a program presented in collaboration with WA Youth Theatre Company (WAYTCo) that engages with young people through Noongar language and culture. The program provides participants with the opportunity to receive intensive individual development in theatre making, performance and language skills at a professional level.

Auditions

To audition, you will need to submit a video recording to our Associate Producer, Bobbi Henry, at projects@yirrayaakin.com.au.

Training & Performance Dates
  • Workshops will run every Tuesday after school from 3 May  14 June 2022
  • An intensive rehearsal period will be held on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 19 July – 10 August 2022 (during the school holidays)
  • Performances will be held on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 August 2022 in the evenings

Participants must be based in Perth, Western Australia, and be double vaccinated against COVID-19 and able to provide a Certificate of Vaccination.
