The Board of Yirra Yaakin Aboriginal Corporation (Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company) has commenced the process of recruiting a new Artistic Director to help drive the creative vision of one of Australia’s leading Indigenous performing arts companies.

Yirra Yaakin is based on Whadjuk land, within the Noongar Nation of the south-west of Western Australia and commissions, develops, produces, presents and tours mainstage and theatre for young people and families in Perth, around Western Australia, nationally and potentially, internationally.

We are the Company-In-Residence at the Subiaco Arts Centre, home to a 305 seat ‘corner thrust stage’ main theatre, a 119 seat black box Studio Theatre and surrounded by beautiful parkland, in the heart of Subiaco.

From modern offices and with the support of a very dedicated and enthusiastic group of staff, you’ll have exactly what you need to dream up the next artistic vision and direction of the Company.
