CASTING CALL — DJINDA KAATIJIN (2026)

Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company is seeking talented First Nations actors and one actor of Indian heritage to join the cast of Djinda Kaatijin, a vibrant children’s theatre production written by Andrea Fernandez and Zac James, and directed by Ruby Lorraine.

This playful, multilingual story celebrates culture, community, and connection — blending Noongar storytelling with global mythologies to inspire young audiences.

We’re looking for:

  • Two First Nations actors (stage age 18-26)
  • One actor of Indian heritage(stage age 18-26)

Audition Details:

  • Monday 1 December 2025
  • Subiaco Arts Centre
  • Prepare a 2-minute monologue of your choice
  • Audition times will be provided upon registration

Production Details:
Rehearsals: 11 March – 6 April 2026
Touring Season (In schools + regional venues): 7 April – 14 August 2026

Travel and accommodation covered as per the Performers Collective Award.
