Kaya deadly Yoks and Mamman!
Are you between 13 and 18 years of age? Are you a performer? Are you interested in learning Noongar language? Are you generally a deadly person? Then the Ngalaka Daa crew is looking for you!
The Ngalaka Daa Ensemble is a program presented in collaboration with WA Youth Theatre Company (WAYTCo) that engages with young people through Noongar language and culture. The program provides participants with the opportunity to receive intensive individual development in theatre making, performance and language skills at a professional level.
What’s Involved
Participants will attend workshops and rehearsals which will be held outside of school hours from 2 May – 5 August 2023.
At the conclusion of the workshops, participants will perform a collaborative theatre piece at Western Australian Museum‘s Hackett Hall.
Auditions
In-person auditions will be held on Thursday 20 April 2023 at King Street Art Centre, Perth. If you are unable to attend in-person auditions, you are welcome to submit a video audition by 5pm on Monday 17 April in order to be considered.
