News
Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company is inviting young people ages 14-22 to audition for a spot in our 2025 Ngalaka Daa Ensemble.
Lead by professional theatre artists and Noongar language experts, members of the Ngalaka Daa Ensemble participate in a ten-week program of Noongar language learning combined with theatre making and performance skills in a engaging workshop format.
Ensemble members learn Noongar language over a term of workshops and refine their performing skills. The Ngalaka Daa Ensemble presents its annual performance at beautiful Boola Baardip, WA Museum’s Hackett Hall.
This very special experience offers a fantastic opportunity to participate in the performing arts and learn one of the world’s oldest languages.
Are you a performer? Are you interested in learning Noongar language? Are you generally a deadly person? Then get your Audition Application Form in today!

The Ensemble is capped at 18 participants annually and young Noongar people are prioritised as participants.
