Here's how to get involved:
A dramatic, toe-tapping musical comedy with satirical bite!
Join the three main characters Charlie, Elsa and Fay, as they take you on a musical journey, reliving times spent at the old Coolbaroo Club moving between 1940s and the 1980s Perth. The original music score features small combo light jazz and swing music, with a dash of country blues, travelling right through to contemporary rock and roll.
Conversations between Charlie, Elsa and Fay reflect upon loves lost and found, and their indecision whether family and blood connections are more important than emotional investment. There are dark secrets revealed that have hung over their heads for more than four decades, and we discover that forgiveness is at the heart and soul of WALTZING THE WILARRA*.
WALTZING THE WILARRA is a new Indigenous music theatre work written by multi-award winning playwright David Milroy (Windmill Baby), and directed by Wesley Enoch (The Sapphires); a teaming of one of Australia’s most talented and exciting directors with one of its most recognized writers. This major production will have its World Premiere in February 2011.
